Tré Cates

Tré Cates is the co-founder and current CEO of Silicon Mountain. Cates founded Silicon Mountain in 1997 along with Dennis Clark as a small wholesaler of computer memory products. Since 1997, he has guided the company to become one of the fastest growing direct-provider of technology products in the U.S. In 2004, Cates led Silicon Mountain in the asset purchase of one of its biggest competitors. Before founding Silicon Mountain, he was in sales leadership for several companies. Cates holds a degree in Philosophy from Ouachita Baptist University and a Masters in Philosophy of Religion from Southwestern Seminary.

Shaun Hanner

Shaun Hanner is the CTO of Silicon Mountain. Hanner joined Silicon Mountain in 1998. He has contributed in sales and operations while implementing the current IT infrastructure. Hanner also developed the proprietary contact management, product configuration and distribution systems used by Silicon Mountain. Hanner's specialty is growing companies through technical innovation. Before Silicon Mountain, he co-founded Rimrock Technologies, a custom application development and vertical market software company. He has a Bachelors degree from Eastern Montana College.
